Welcome to a Pride and Prejudice costume study!

This site is a part of Costumersguide, a movie costume site. Maggie was sweet enough to host this for me for a school project. There are a few warnings I should give you before I go on:

1. I'm new to the costuming thing. I've made 3 costumes, and two of which were based off of Maggie's versions. This means that I won't be using any extensive jargon; that may be a benefit for beginners, but it will probably be frustrating for a lot of people. Just bear with me.

2. Feel free to send me any information you have. My resources are limited, as well as my knowledge, and I'm always looking for ways to create more accurate studies.

3. This site is being made in part to compare the costumes from the 1995 and 2005 versions; this means that not all of this will be directly related to how the costumes are made (mostly on each version's home page, where I will explain the style). That also means that I won't be doing any other version of Pride and Prejudice. The old black-and-white one would be suicide to attempt, due to the fact that it is in black and white in addition to the fact that the dresses aren't anything close to the Regency Era costumes. In short, what's here is here, and I won't consider anything from other versions of the story.
